I plan on moving to Hawaii in the nest few months and have decided to sell EVERYTHING! I mean to ship my furniture, stereos TVs would cost more than it is worth. One thing I am  bit worried about is the replacement cost. I heard that things like furniture and electronics cost a bit more over there.

Any truth to that?

So I plan on moving to Hawaii but I have 2 dogs and am confused about what is the best way to relocate them there. I heard it is hard moving with pets.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I guess this makes me old, but I am a huge fan of the original series and never could get that damn theme song out of my head! Smiley Good to see they are remaking it.

Hawaii Five-0 is one of the reasons I want to relocate here.

I have been thinking about relocating from NYC to Hana. I have visited several times but but have been outside my resort. So... Please let me know the pros and cons of living here.

I have taken the ' Lost ' film location tour before and I wouldnt mind taking a ' Hawai Five-0 ' Tour soon.. as a matter of fact I will love to take the tour and hopefully see the actors as they are filming the show!-- Any shows or productions done in one's town can only make it better.  The production will bring publicity to the town, make it more excited, more appealing, increase tourism, increase business and if the show is successful and stays in Hawaii for years to come it will generate jobs and keep locals employed.

A mormon or a liberal Episcopalian? Well Hannemann is a Harvard graduate and former Honolulu mayor with many years of government experience, even has worked with past U.S. presidents. He is also a Mormon and has been trying hard to get Christians to vote for him by making appearances on several Christian churches however this latest tactic does not seem to be getting him as many votes as former State Senator Neil Abercrombie.  Abercrombie is a lot more liberal supporting gay rights, same sex marriage and is pro-choice-- It seems that Abercrombie has the young voters, the gay voters and the liberals.

I think we need to see if it will be Abercrombie or Hannemann first in the primary even though Hawaii has kept voting Abercrombie to the senate all these years, I hope it's at least close in that race.

Yes, I believe the Japanese workers brought them to the fields, now they often have teriyaki beef or ribs, chicken (usually fried) and fried spam over rice.

Poi is made from the taro plant and it is cooked then mashed or pounded to the desired consistency as water is added to it. Poi is definitely an acquired taste or something that's better eaten with something else much like rice is.

That sounds amazing! I assume visitors are allowed? Is it costly to get in and does it have specific hours of operation? I  would love to visit it once I finish my move.
