Oahu Featured Properties

Koko Head is located in eastern Oahu, quite a distance from the urban and busy city life that surrounds Waikiki condo real estate. The Koko Head area is actually comprised of a number of regions. Koko Crater is a large tuff crater that stands out against the rest of the area and has a top height of 1,208 feet. The crater towers above Hanauma Bay, crater that has been breached by the ocean and is now home to one of the state’s largest wildlife sanctuaries. The actual peak of Koko Crater can actually be hiked by people willing to make the steep trip to the top. An old railroad track that was built during the World War II era leads from the base of the mountain to the top where a series of bunkers are located. Once at the peak, hikers are treated to a much-deserved 360-degree view of east Oahu in all its glory. In time of clear visibility, views across the Koolau Mountains to the windward side can be quite a sight.

Lanai Lookout, part of the Koko Head complex, is a scenic lookout that offers views to Lanai and Molokai, across the Kaiwi Channel. The Halona Blowhole is an interesting blowhole that is part of the rocky ocean shore. Tourists love the sight of the spectacular mist as waves pound the shores nearby.
